No amount of trouble shooting could overcome this. I would literally leave it on my phone for hours and watch the phone battery in the power widget drop while the MagSafe battery stayed at 100%. My complaint is that I simply couldn’t get it to work for me.
I really don’t have any complaints about the price, the capacity or the design.
APPLE MAGSAFE BATTERY PACK FULL
Oh and speaking of travel, the capacity bites again, I doubt I’ll get through a full intercontinental flight with the iPhone plus battery, so I’m either hoping I can charge on the plane or still carrying my regular external battery too I guess. But the combination of the minimal capacity and need to carry an outdated cable might send it back. I want to like it, I’m going to use it as my exclusive charger and generally try for “full time” for a few days to simulate travelling. Yeah, technically the battery is a clunky lump of a MagSafe charger, but it just doesn’t have that same clean feel. Maybe I’ll drop my MagSafe cable and replace it with lightning? I do like MagSafe on my desk beside my laptop when I’m going to be moving between desks or flopped on a sofa. Especially with the ability to charge from the phone, if the battery had USB C then the result would be an iPhone+battery combination could use Lightning or USB-C and both devices would get fully charged. Shame it wasn’t that new-fangled USB C port that Apple is adopting literally everywhere else. Like the article says, this basically adds lightning back to my travel kit. Wish it was bigger (capacity, with matching size) to match the Max phone. Back then, the accessory was able to charge iPhones with a 5W charging speed, which in comparison to today's fast charging speeds of 65W and 120W seems outdated.I grabbed one, first impression is good. It attaches to the back of an iPhone via MagSafe technology. It is an accessory that provides additional battery life for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models. To recall, Apple launched the MagSafe Battery Pack in July 2021.
